BotManager

Welcome to BotManager documentation. This guide is designed to help users understand and use the BotManager service more effectively.

BotManager Introduction

BotManager is a solution that protects systems from malicious bots and manages access requests according to user settings. It distinguishes and handles legitimate users and malicious bots through a 3-stage verification system using firewall, filter, and policy.

Key Features

User Verification

  • Firewall validation: Block/allow based on IP, Country, ASN
  • Filter validation: Condition-based filtering
    • For more details, see Filter.
  • Policy validation: Verification based on user behavior or access background
    • For more details, see Policy.

Access Request Handling

  • Pass: When judged as a legitimate user
  • Detect: When judged as a bot but access is allowed due to exception handling or user settings
  • Blocked: When judged as a malicious bot or threatening request

Statistics

  • Integrated access statistics: Total access requests and type ratio (number of bot requests compared to legitimate users)
  • Bot type statistics: Attack type and behavior analysis results
  • Custom reports: Generate custom reports visualizing each statistic
