Bot Categories

Set conditions (categories) to classify bots and manage priorities.

Category Creation

Basic Settings

Enter basic information to configure bot categories:

  • Category Name: The name of the category displayed in the list (max 40 characters)

Write a clear name to make it easier to manage in the list.

  • Category Description: (Optional) Detailed description of the category (max 400 characters)
  • Action Mode: Response method among Detect/Block/Allow

Traffic allowed in bot verification will access the service without going through filter and policy verification stages.

Category Conditions

Items

  • IP: IP address or CIDR format
  • ASN: ASN number
  • Country: Country code
  • Path: URL path
  • Accept-Encoding: Accept-Encoding header value
  • Accept-Language: Accept-Language header value
  • Referer: Referer header value
  • Content-Type: Content-Type header value
  • User-Agent: User-Agent header value
  • JA3 Fingerprint: JA3 fingerprint
  • JA4 Fingerprint: JA4 fingerprint
  • Protocol version: Protocol version
  • Query string: Query string

Match Conditions

  • equals: Exact match
  • in_list: Included in list
  • contains: Contains
  • is_empty: Empty
  • Shared resource: Select from Shared Resource (max 50)

You can create up to 20 bot categories.

Category Management

Priority

Traffic is checked in order starting from categories with higher priority. If a single traffic matches multiple categories simultaneously, aggregation and response are based on the category with the highest priority.

Status

Each category can have an Active/Inactive status, and inactive categories are not used for traffic verification and aggregation.
