Troubleshooting

This document provides common issues and solutions that may occur when using NetFUNNEL Akamai Agent.


Installation and Initialization

EdgeWorker Deployment Failure

Symptoms: EdgeWorker version creation or deployment fails.

Solutions:

  • Verify that the bundle.json file format is correct
  • Verify that there are no syntax errors in the EdgeWorker code
  • Check EdgeWorker permissions in the Akamai account

Property Variables Configuration Not Applied

Symptoms: Property Variables are set but the agent is not working.

Solutions:

  • Verify that Property Variables names are correct (NF_CLIENT_ID, etc.)
  • Verify that Property is activated
  • Wait sufficient time (a few minutes) after Property activation

Operation Issues

Queue Not Applied

Symptoms: Trigger rules are set but the queue is not applied.

Solutions:

  • Verify that segment trigger rules are correctly set in the NetFUNNEL console
  • Verify that URLs match the trigger rules
  • Verify that EdgeWorker Rule is correctly set
  • Verify that Property is activated

Not Redirecting to Waiting Room

Symptoms: Waiting response is received but not redirected to waiting room.

Solutions:

  • Verify that EdgeWorker Rule is set to apply to HTML files
  • Verify that HTML files are not excluded in File Extension settings
  • Check Property Variables NF_VWR_PAGE_DOMAIN configuration

Network Issues

Origin Server Connection Failure

Symptoms: Cannot connect to Core Origin or Setting Origin.

Solutions:

  • Verify that Hostname settings in Origin Rule are correct
  • Verify that the {CLIENT_ID}.netfunnel.stclab.com format is correct
  • Check network connection status

Configuration Issues

Property Variables Values Not Applied

Symptoms: Property Variables are set but values are not reflected.

Solutions:

  • Check case sensitivity of Property Variables names
  • Verify Property activation status
  • Clear cache or wait after Property activation
